|The Dr. Seuss Lorax Forest, which is actually part of the Francis Marion National Forest in South Carolina, a national forest devastated by hurricanes, is being reforested by Dr. Seuss fans. One tree can be paid for by donating $2.95 to Dr Seuss Lorax Forest, Green Gems USA, P.O. Box 6007, Healdsburg CA 95448-6007 or call 1(800)431-7645. In return, donors will receive a packet of crabapple seeds, Lorax stickers and a certificate of appreciation but only $1 of their payment would be used to plant a tree. Environmentalists complain the fuzzy yellow critter is helping a nonprofit group that they say advocates clear-cutting forests.
